The owner’s view of Northstar Group (demo): three companies, three currencies, one combined total.

Who it is for

One owner. Several companies.

If your group runs on a spreadsheet per company and a phone call to each manager, Mosaic puts it in one place.

  • A head company and its members

Partners, branches or distributors, each its own company with its own staff.

  • More than one country

Each company works in its own currency and tax settings. You see the total in your home currency once exchange rates are set.

  • The right view for each person

You see everything. A country manager sees their own company, without your costs or margins.

What it does

Each company runs on its own. You see all of them.

Everything below is built and working in Relate today.

Your group

Every company side by side, and the total.

Sales by company and combined, cash by who holds it, money owed to you, orders waiting and amounts owed to partners. A country switcher narrows the view to one company. On your phone it opens as an app, with a Needs you list of what is waiting for your decision.

Stock

Stock by location, batch and expiry.

Oldest expiry is picked first. Stock is held when an order is placed and taken off when it is paid. Low stock and batches expiring within 60 days are flagged.

Between companies

Transfers and charges that land in both books.

Record transfers between companies, raise restock requests, and raise charges from one company to another. Each charge settles in both companies’ books, and each company’s profit arrangement is settled on a monthly statement.

Who sees what

Your costs and margins stay yours.

The head-company layer, with costs and margins, is visible only to the owner. Roles for owner, member partner, country manager and staff, with permissions you switch on and off.

Books

Books per company, and for the group.

Each company keeps double-entry books in Relate. Foreign currency is revalued and the group is consolidated, with any difference between companies shown. Bank statements come in as a file; there is no live bank feed.

Ordering

A private shop for each company’s approved buyers.

Approved buyers sign in with a one-time link sent by email and place orders, which arrive as drafts for your staff to confirm. No one else sees the products or even the company name. Staff can also send an order form that the customer fills in and signs online. Card payment in the shop runs on that company’s own Stripe account, so the money goes straight to the company.

How setup works

Live inside Relate, set up with us.

Mosaic is switched on for your Relate workspace by our team. Setup is a conversation, not a form.

  1. A call about your group

Your companies, the countries and currencies, your locations, and who should see what.

  2. We switch Mosaic on

We set up each company with its currency, tax settings and staff, and give each person the right role.

  3. Bring your spreadsheets

Products, stock, orders, suppliers and opening balances from your sheets. You see a preview and nothing is saved until you confirm. Zoho Books can be read in as well.

  4. Your team signs in

You see the whole group. Each manager sees their own company. Every company keeps its own books.

Price

One monthly price for the group.

Mosaic, on the Relate Business plan

$999 a month

Comes with the CRM, books for each company and the owner portal.

Book a call
  • Onboarding, one time: $1,500 for up to three companies. Larger groups are quoted line by line.
  • Pay yearly and onboarding is waived. If you switch to yearly within your first 90 days, the onboarding fee you paid is credited to the year.
  • Your own accounts: email, text and card payments connect with your own keys, so those providers bill you directly.
  • A dedicated instance for more control and scale is quoted on a short call.

Questions

Straight answers.

Can I sign up for Mosaic online?

No. Mosaic is live inside Relate and we switch it on for your workspace after a call. There is no self-serve signup.

Does Mosaic connect to my bank?

No. There are no live bank feeds. Each company imports its bank statement as a file and reconciles it in its books.

Can my country managers see costs and margins?

No. The head-company layer of costs and margins is visible only to the owner. A country manager sees only their own company, with no costs, statements or books.

Does it work with QuickBooks or Zoho Books?

You can import from Zoho Books, read only: Relate never writes to Zoho. Relate does not send entries to QuickBooks Online or Zoho Books today, and there is no two-way sync.

Do you handle our payments?

No. Payments are recorded when received, by method and by who holds the money. Card checkout in a company’s private shop runs on that company’s own Stripe account and stays off until the company adds its own keys. We never hold the money.

Does Mosaic file our taxes?

No. Each company sets up its own tax codes and gets a tax summary with a CSV for its accountant. Nothing is filed with any tax authority, and Relate invoices are not certified Portuguese invoices.

Is Mosaic new?

Yes. Mosaic is new and it is live inside Relate.
