Health information, and why there is no BAA

If you run a medical, dental or other health-care business, you should get a straight answer before you sign up. This is it.

What we do not do

• We do not sign business associate agreements (BAAs). A BAA is the contract US health-privacy law asks for when a vendor handles patient information for a clinic. We do not offer one on the Feerasta platform.
• We hold no HIPAA certification and do not claim that Feerasta is HIPAA compliant.
• Please do not put patient health information in Feerasta. That means diagnoses, treatment notes, test results, insurance details, and a patient's name tied to a visit or a condition.

What to use for clinical work

Feerasta Sovereign runs the AI on your own hardware, inside your own controls. Patient information stays on your equipment. If you need AI near clinical records, start there, and talk to us about your own setup.

What a clinic can still use

Work that holds no health detail is fine on the platform: your opening hours, your prices, a caller's question about where you are, booking a time slot with no clinical detail, and routine office work such as supplier invoices.

Our clinic front-desk features are built to keep health details out. A workspace that says it is a health-care business has the features that would tie a patient to a visit held back. Review requests are one example: they do not run for a health-care workspace.

The agent does not give medical advice. If a caller asks for it, it passes the caller to a person or takes a message, and if a caller mentions something urgent, like pain, the call is marked urgent for you.
