What missed calls could be costing you.

Tell us your business and website, and we read your opening hours and the kind of work you do. Then three numbers give you an estimate, with every source shown. Nothing is stored.

Step 1, optional

Start from your website

We open your home page once to find your hours and the kind of work you do. We do not store it.

No website? Skip this and put in your numbers below.

Step 2

Your numbers

Each box starts with a figure for your kind of business. Where a published study exists we name it; where none does, we say so. Change any of them to yours.

Your estimate

Turn on JavaScript to see the sum.

An estimate from the numbers above, rounded down. It is not a promise of any result.

Have us answer these calls

Rachel is our own front desk agent. Your line answers in your business's name, never pretends to be a person, and puts anyone who asks for a person through to you or takes a message. How it works

How we calculate this

  1. Missed calls a week = calls a day × days open × share of calls no person answers.
  2. Jobs a month that may be lost = missed calls a week × 52 ÷ 12 × share of those callers who would have booked.
  3. Revenue at risk a year = jobs a month × 12 × your average job value, rounded down to two significant figures.

It is an estimate. Some missed callers call back or leave a message, and some would never have booked. Your own call log is the only real answer, so every box can be changed.

Where the starting figures come from

  • Share of calls missed, trades and home services, 48 percent: in 2026, 52 percent of calls to home-services businesses were answered by a person. Invoca, Home Services Lead Conversion Benchmarks, July 2026 (anonymised calls on Invoca's platform).
  • Share of callers who would have booked, 17 percent: 38 percent of answered home-services calls are leads and 45 percent of those convert on the call. Same Invoca report. We use it for every kind of business because no wider study exists.
  • Share of calls missed, law and accounting offices, 60 percent: only 40 percent of 500 US law firms answered a secret-shopper call. Clio Legal Trends Report 2024. Accounting offices were not studied.
  • Average job, dental or clinic, $406: mean payment per dental visit in 2022, all payers. US AHRQ Medical Expenditure Panel Survey, HC-239B, Table 4.
  • Average job, auto repair and dealership service, $554: average cost to fix a check-engine-light fault in 2025, from 39 million vehicles. CarMD Vehicle Health Index, April 2026.
  • Canada and Portugal: US dollar figures are converted at the 2025 averages, 1.3978 Canadian dollars per US dollar (Bank of Canada) and 1.13 US dollars per euro (European Central Bank), rounded down. Prices where you are may differ, so put in your own.
  • No reliable published figure exists for calls a day (any business), the share of calls missed outside trades and law, or the average job in trades, salons, restaurants, real estate, offices and other businesses. For those the box shows our own cautious guess, and the page says so beside it.
